"To Digest is Divine; Ginger Root Benefits"
Written by Dipali Desai
Incorporating ginger root in your food is an acquired taste. It is not for the faint of heart. In Asian cultures, for hundreds of years, ginger has been used for its culinary and medicinal properties. Ginger has a spicy, peppery, pungent taste and aroma, and gives a sense of warmth when consumed. Who wouldn't want a nice warming effect during the cold winter months?
Especially when you are feeling blue or low in vitality a bit of fresh ginger juice in hot tea with some honey will do the trick and get the heat flowing through the body. Growing up, I didn't really like the flavor and would do whatever I could to avoid eating it. Yes, going as far as hiding the chunks in a napkin.

"Am I missing something during a Consultation?" ~ Ask Dipali
Hi Dipali,
Being fairly new to astrology, I don't quite get the terminology. I feel like I'm not catching on as quickly as I like and during a consultation I keep feeling like I'm missing something even if its taped. This creates anxiety and tension in me and to make things worse, my mind won't stop working. Is there a way for a layperson (new to astrology) to "get" it or find a way to relax about this? I do want to make the most of the consultation or find a better way to deal with this. Appreciate any guidance you can give. Thanks

Twelve Ways to Warm Up the Winter Blues
Written by Dipali Desai
During the the winter-time or cooler seasons wherever you are around the world, the cycle is one of hibernation, withdrawing and stillness. In light of this natural seasonal rhythm, the body responds and consolidates the energy urging one to be introspective. In addition to all of this we can choose to support ourselves and warm up the winter blues so that it doesn't push us to an extreme point of depression or any other label for the winter energy.

Blazing New Trails, Exploring New Possibilities
By Dipali DesaiI didn't give much thought to what the word meant until one
day when someone used the term to describe me and then I looked it up
in the dictionary. I don't get hung up on labels. Personally, I look at
the potential and quality of energy or archetypal pattern. What is a
trailblazer? The dictionary's definition is: "One that blazes a trail.
An innovative leader in a field; a pioneer."
As I look back from birth to the present moment, I can see how my life
has been guided by a higher loving energy; God, Universe, the Divine,
whatever you call the higher benevolent energy. From a very early age
(before the age of three), I could recall a deep connection to a
infinitely intelligent, non-physical divine energy; it was a feeling
more than a thought. I had a strong spiritual pulse that moved through
me and lifted me into a blissful state.
By society's or culture's definition, I was not a "normal" child. I
certainly didn't fit into the traditional cookie cutter mold. As I grew
up, I remember questioning everything about life, relationships,
ritual, tradition and culture. I'm pretty sure it drove my parents and
family members a bit crazy. But I wanted to know the meaning behind why
we did what we did. I got these answers; "Shh, just do it. This is how
it has always been done." or "I'm not sure, but this is what we are
supposed to do." Those answers didn't satisfy me, because it felt like
something important was missing from them.

Astrology, Your Mandala of Light for Awakening to your higher Potentials.
By Dipali DesaiAstrology is a tool, best utilized for discovering your real Self/ Soul/Consciousness and awakening. People often ask me how can they remember what their Soul or wisdom Self has designed for their life. My reply is "get to know your Natal Chart." The Natal Chart is a sacred Mandala of Light and potentials.
One of the beautiful things regarding Astrology is that it offers a blueprint into the individual’s Soul Potentials. In essence the Natal Chart “jogs” your memories (both on a linear and non-linear level) to put you on a more conscious course on your life path. Astrology consultations may offer awareness into cycles of healing, expansion/activity, relationship, stress reduction, love, healing/wellness and much more on spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels.
Each person has free will whether to choose to consciously manifest the higher potentials on the path or resist and keep them dormant. Astrology serves to help “empower” the individual and spiritual seeker. You are fifty percent co-partner in actualizing your natal chart (or blueprint). A chart also gives you the opportunity to tap into your innate talents and gifts as well as viewing a bigger picture of reality.
When working with the Natal Chart (also known as the birth chart or blueprint), the individual discovers the personality (false identity, ego) base structure, innate strengths, weaknesses, and any other aspects that are creating off balance in either serving or not serving your highest good, path and purpose. With a focal point of helping you to realize the real Self also known as Soul or Consciousness has a deeper meaning and purpose for creating this as a part of your life experience.
You are not your identity! It is only a mask you wear. Come discover where the old conditioning limits you and how you can become free to truly express your Spirit/Soul’s potential in every day life. Explore the various levels spiritual, mental, emotional, energetic and physical - which also are a part of the Natal Chart.
Awakening from the lethargic sleep state you become more aware of any False Identity’s / Ego’s interference in manifesting your potentials and evolving. An understanding of your personal chart may help you express more joyfully and with less suffering.
People have asked me if I need to use an astrology chart to share insights or awareness. The answer is no. As a channel, I bring through insights with or without using the astrological chart. The higher intuitive energy flows in regardless of the tool used or none used in a consultation. There is a lot going on a non-verbal and non-physical level.
Using an astrological chart provides a symbolic language, which offers a ‘comforting road-map of possibilities and potentials’ to the mind or conscious self. This creates a willingness to venture forward with awareness of the upcoming areas of focus or challenges. Astrology is both intuitive and logical and the symbolism tends to activate both sides of the brain. This sophisticated symbol system is doorway in to help the individual understand and offer empowerment on many levels.

"In the midst of Challenges"
by Dipali DesaiAs the grumble, rumble and shaking of challenges pushes issues, wounds and themes up to the surface. You may ask yourself “how may I work with this so that I may grow and move forward from what is occurring?” Here are a few suggestions to work with in addressing any challenges that present themselves on your path. Please remember to be creative and play with what is presented to adapt to your own needs. We are never alone in our challenges we are always being guided and watched over.
These suggestions encourage you the Reader to work from a higher level rather than personality/false identity /ego level alone. The choice is yours! Enjoy.
1. Slow down, pause and recognize or have awareness of the situation, circumstance, interaction unfolding. Now, begin to take deep slow breaths, your conscious awareness of the in and out breath is important. Take a time out if necessary. Go for a walk, journal, scream into a pillow or go into a quiet room. Do whatever you are able to in that moment to quiet down. Go back and reflect on any recent Intentions you have stated or energy clearing you have done in a session. The current challenges may be in direct relation to your recent choice or decision for change. Assisting you to manifest your Intention, invocation or integrate something. Sometimes we forget what we have asked for and how the Universe is responding through the present challenges may be in connection.
2. Accept the situation exactly how it is in the moment, without personality opinion, criticism or judgment of it. This is how Soul or higher/wisdom Self will begin to observe. Looking at details, and larger picture. Stop the mind from analzying anything right now.

Sai Baba
Who is Sai
Baba? Sai Baba once gave the essence of his mission as
follows:
'I have come to light the lamp of love in your hearts to see that it
shines day by day with added lustre. I have not come to speak on behalf
of any particular spiritual practice or Hindu philosophy. I have not
come on any mission of publicity for any sect or creed or cause; nor
have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plans to
attract disciples or devotees to my fold or any fold. I have come to
tell you of this universal faith, this divine consciousness, this path
of love, this philosophy of love, this duty of love, this obligation of
love.'
